Kid Cudi Announces New Album Title

Well, it looks like Kid Cudi won't be dropping Man On The Moon 3 anytime soon. He has announced that his next album will be titled Speeding' Bullet To Heaven. Whether this album is a precursor to Man On The Moon 3 or a replacement is yet to be soon, but regardless new Cudi is coming soon. Enjoy.

Earl Sweatshirt Drops New Album and Music Video

Two weeks ago, Interscope accidentally placed Kendrick Lamar's new album, To Pimp A Butterfly, on iTunes a week before it was scheduled to be released. This week, in a similar fashion, Columbia completely botched the release of Earl Sweatshirt's surprise album—I Don't Like Sh*t, I Don't Go Outside. The plan was for Earl to first release the video for "Grief," which you can see below, which would announce the album title and then he'd drop the album. However, according to Earl in an interview with NPR's Microphone Check, Columbia released the album on iTunes and then released the video without Earl knowing; the principle of this frustrated him because he felt he had no control over the vision he had for the album's rollout. Message to the labels: do better.

Well, the album is out now and it's pretty dope. It's way darker than his first album, Doris, but lyrically Earl is at his best. Stream it here and purchase it here. Check out the video for "Grief" below. Enjoy.

J Cole Announces New Album '2014 Forest Hills Drive'

DuB3Z0xN.jpeg

J. Cole just dropped the bomb that he is releasing a new album on December 9th and it is called 2014 Forest Hills Drive. The album seems to be named after his address back home in North Carolina. It's been about a year and a half since he dropped his last album, Born Sinner, so it was definitely time for something to drop. Words can not express how excited I am for this album. Check out the documentary he dropped on the album below and you can preorder here (iTunes) and here (Amazon). Enjoy.

Paula (Cover Art, Release Date, & Tracklist)

So Robin Thicke is determined to reconcile with his estranged wife, Paula Patton, through his music. After performing a new song called “Get Her Back” at the Billboard Music Awards, he has revealed that his upcoming album will be called Paula so it seems the entire album will be dedicated to her. After checking out the tracklist below, it seems even more clear. One thing is for sure, I’m not rooting against him. If anything, this album will be a better album then Blurred Lines as it is sure to be more heartfelt, in my opinion. I hope he brings it. It’s set to come out on July 1st. Enjoy.

1. “You’re My Fantasy”
2. “Get Her Back”
3. “Still Madly Crazy”
4. “Lock the Door”
5. “Whatever I Want”
6. “Living in New York City”
7. “Love Can Grow Back”
8. “Black Tar Cloud”
9. “Too Little Too Late”
10. “Tippy Toes”
11. “Something Bad”
12. “The Opposite of Me”
13. “Time of Your Life”
14. “Forever Love”

"Nosetalgia"- Pusha T (feat. Kendrick Lamar)

Pusha T’s debut solo album, My Name Is My Name, drops on October 8th. If you’re not excited for this album already, this will excite you. He revealed the Kendrick Lamar-assisted track, “Nosetalgia.” This track is amazing. The beat, produced by Nottz, was MADE for Pusha T and Kendrick delivers a verse that is genius when you break it down. Stream the song above and watch an interview with Pusha T about the track below. Enjoy.

"Banger (MOSHPIT)"- ScHoolboy Q

ScHoolboy Q’s upcoming album, Oxymoron, has been delayed until who knows when. So, he has released a new track from the album called “Banger (MOSHPIT).” The song is what it says: a banger. But, ScHoolboy Q, even if joking or just being very confident, claimed his album will be better than Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d city. That’s a bold statement and so far I haven’t really heard anything close. I’m holding out hope for a close second. Enjoy.

"Calls"- Robert Glasper Experiment (feat. Jill Scott)

Fresh off his Grammy win for Best R&B album, Robert Glasper and his Experiment band have released a new song from their upcoming album, Black Radio 2, the followup to their last album. The song is called “Calls” and features Jill Scott. Stylistically, it picks up right where the last album left off. the album is set to drop on October 29th. Enjoy.

"Hold On We're Going Home"- Drake (feat. Majid Jordan)

Drake just released a track from his upcoming album, Nothing Was The Same. It’s a huge pop track that will work wonders on the radio and it’s not bad. It reminds me of some of the stuff he did on So Far Gone. We’re gaining a larger understanding of what this album is going to sound like and I’m intrigued. September 17th. Enjoy.

2 Chainz and DONDA have done it again! 2 Chainz has revealed the album cover for his upcoming album, B.O.A.T.S II: Me Time . While it hasn’t been confirmed that DONDA created this artwork, it is most likely their work as the minimalistic approach seems to be their go-to and the artwork features only two Cuban links. DONDA did the same thing with his last album cover . Shout out to DONDA; they’re doing great work. The album drops September 10th. Enjoy.

"All Me"- Drake (feat. 2 Chainz & Big Sean)

New Drizzy track. Right on time. Drake has been trying out a lot of new flows and melodies, like in “The Motion” and now this track; it’s very interesting. This new track, “All Me,” features 2 Chainz, Big Sean, and an Aziz Ansari sample in the intro. 2 Chainz was average, but Drake and Big Sean went OFF. It’s a decent track, but I’m not sure if it’s the sound I want from this upcoming album. Take Care was an amazing album, and I know I’m not the only one that is expecting Nothing Was The Same to be at LEAST as good as Take Care. It’s unknown whether this song is just a free track or if it’s going to be on the album, so we’ll see. Download and stream above.

Judging from these tweets and the Aziz Ansari sample, I think that this song may just be a free song he’s dropping for our benefit and it looks like it may be the last one he drops before the album drops on September 17th. Enjoy.
