PARTYNEXTDOOR Brings Out Drake At His First NYC Show

PARTYNEXTDOOR performed his first NYC show at SOBS last week and brought out Drake to perform his PARTYNEXTDOOR TWO hit, "Recognize." It was a pretty decent performance. PARTY has a good live singing voice but he needs to improve his stage presence. He was looking a little stiff up there. Otherwise, he held it down. Enjoy.

"Recognize (feat. Drake)"- PARTYNEXTDOOR

PARTYNEXTDOOR has revealed a new song called “Recognize.” The Drake-assisted song features PARTYNEXTDOOR comfortably staying in the lane he’s created for himself. He sings about topics very similar to The Weeknd’s, but his vocals are a lot harsher. His voice always sounds slightly distorted and muffled but it fits with the type of production he uses. His singing isn’t great, but it’s not bad either. He’s nice to listen to, but I’m not rushing out to buy anything he makes. I think he fits in with the different styles Drake has assembled on his label. He has also announced that his first for-sale project, PARTYNEXTDOOR TWO, will be released on iTunes on July 29th. From what he’s released so far, I think it’ll sound a lot like its predecessor, PARTYNEXTDOOR. If you want to pre-order it, you can do so here. Enjoy.

"West District"- PARTYNEXTDOOR

I don’t know what it is about PARTYNEXTDOOR. It’s not like he’s giving us anything we haven’t heard before, style or content, but I enjoy his music. He has just released a song called “West District,” a take on Drake’s recent release, “Days In the East.” It’s a nice track and I’ve gotta say it’s better than Drake’s version. Check it out above and enjoy.

"Days In The East"- Drake

Ok, Drake is up to something. Two songs in two days? This nigga might be releasing something soon; we’ll see. So a couple weeks ago, Drake premiered a new song while on tour. Well it turns out the song is called “Days In The East” as he just released the official track. It was produced by PARTYNEXTDOOR and 40. The song he performed live sounds way different than the official track. It was more of a ballad; it utilized a simple beat with real instruments. The actual track is a completely different sound. It’s definitely more of what we’re used to from Drake, it’s decent. It also seems clear that the last half of the track is clearly about Rihanna since they’re dating now. But stay tuned for more from him. Enjoy.

New Drake Music & Album Release Date

I would absolutely like some music. Sometimes it just pays to be up this late. Drake has treated us to four new songs tonight: “Jodeci Freestyle” (feat. J. Cole) and “The Motion” are his tracks, while “Over Here” and “Versace” are songs featuring Drake by artists PARTYNEXTDOOR and Migos, respectively. The first three songs sound DOPE. Idk if I can endorse the “Versace” track though lol. Not only did Drake release these four songs just now, but he also announced the release date for his album, Nothing Was The Same. September 17th. It’s gonna be a good day. Enjoy the music.
