Music Video: Francis and the Lights- "Friends (feat. Bon Iver & Kanye West)"

Francis and the Lights released a new music video today for their song, "Friends." The visuals feature Kanye West and Bon Iver, who also appears in the song. Chance The Rapper has been promoting the video heavily since last night, leading many to think the music video for "Summer Friends" would be released today. You can see the confusion as Francis and the Lights were featured on that song from Chance's Coloring Book project. I was definitely confused haha. However, the video is pretty dope and you can definitely see the effects of a Kanye West-directed video. The minimalistic visuals are right up his alley. As for the song, it sounds very similar to Francis' contributions to "Summer Friends;" it's possible it stemmed from the same studio session? Either way, it's fresh as hell.

Edit: Francis sampled his song "Friends" to create his part on Chance's "Summer Friends." Mystery solved.

Kanye West- "Champions (feat. Quavo, Travi$ Scott, 2 Chainz, Desiigner, Gucci Mane, Big Sean & Yo Gotti)

Kanye West recently released the first single from the (upcoming?) G.O.O.D. Music compilation album, Cruel Winter. The song, "Champions," features West himself along with Quavo, Travi$ Scott, 2 Chainz, Desiigner, Gucci Mane, Big Sean, and Yo Gotti. The CDQ version is now available on Apple Music and you can check out the song above.

Kanye West Tweets Final Tracklist For 'The Life of Pablo'

That's right; Kanye has changed the name of his album again. For what it's worth, this seems to be the last time. It is now called The Life of Pablo, which seems to be a nod to Pablo Picasso, although it could be a different one. Kanye has also tweeted out the final tracklist for the album, which you can view above. TLOP drops tomorrow.

Kanye West Changes Album Title & Releases New Tracklist

Kanye West's seventh studio album has gone through a couple name changes. It started as So Help Me God and was then changed to SWISH. Well, now the album title has been changed again and will be called WAVES. Kanye also released what looks to be a final tracklist, one that is different than the one released earlier this week. The handwritten tracklist also seems to be signed by many people who were present at the studio session and may even have contributed to the album. I am more than excited lol. Peep the tracklist above and below.

UPDATE: Kanye changed the name of "Nina Chop" and there are WAY more signatures.

1. Famous
2. Father Stretch My Hands Pt.1/Pt. 2
3. Waves
4. High Lights
5. 30 Hours
6. No More Parties in L.A.
7. Fade
8. FML
9. Real Friends
10. Wolves
11. Ultra Light Beam

Kanye West- "No More Parties In L.A. (feat. Kendrick Lamar)"

Kanye West's "G.O.O.D. Friday" track for this week came a little late, but it was well worth the wait. He released the full version of his collaboration with Kendrick Lamar called "No More Parties In L.A.," a song which he teased in last week's release. The track sees Kendrick starting off with an amazing verse in a style of rapping that closely resembles André 3000. 'Ye takes over the rest of the song and is rapping like we haven't heard him in years. I feel like I haven't heard him rap like this since "New God Flow" on Cruel Summer which is ironic since he used the same Ghostface sample in both songs. Check out the track above.

Kanye West- "Real Friends/No More Parties in LA (Snippet)"

It is officially Yeezy season. Via the tweet below, Kim Kardashian confirmed that Kanye will be releasing new music every Friday, similar to his 2010 G.O.O.D Friday series. After releasing "Facts" last week, this week sees the release of "Real Friends" and a snippet of "No More Parties in LA" which features Kendrick Lamar. This is definitely the Kanye we've been waiting for and not the one who's been delivering subpar features on other artists' songs for the past few months. It is not clear if these songs will appear on SWISH or if they are songs that won't make the album, but one thing is certain, Fridays are about to be LIT.

Kanye West- "Facts"

Kanye West dropped off a new track where he heavily boasts about how well his Adidas Yeezy Boost shoes are doing. He takes A LOT of shots at Nike and it's clear that 'Ye is feeling himself. The song is purposely very similar to "Jumpman" by Drake & Future and 'Ye even had Metro Boomin produce the track. It's a decent track with lots of quotables, but I hope he's just fooling around and that there won't be any of this on SWISH.

Pusha T Is The New President of G.O.O.D. Music

Pusha T has announced that Kanye West asked him to be the new president of G.O.O.D. Music. I think this is great news as Pusha T could definitely help other artists on the roster push their albums out—artists like CyHi the Prynce or Kacy Hill. Seeing as how Kanye hasn't been a perfect label-head, he could use the help. Check out Pusha T's interview with Billboard here.

A big congratulations are in order. Just got word that you will be the president of G.O.O.D. Music. How was the offer presented you?

Actually, I was flying home and I had just got into my car at the airport. ‘Ye had called me and he was like, “Tell me something. What do you think about being the president of G.O.O.D. Music?” And I was like, “Well, what are the things that you’re looking for?” And he was basically just like, to manicure the label, make it profitable and be very business-oriented about it going forward in a manicured type of way.

Should we still keep our hopes up for a Cruel Summer 2 LP or some type of G.O.O.D. Music compilation in the near future?

I have that on my mood board. [Laughs.] I definitely have that on my mood board. I’ve had different conversations with the artists. Me and the rest of the artists on G.O.O.D. are really a phone call away and we’re really dialed into the music aspect of it as well. It’s not a hard process and it’s gonna be cool to collaborate with my peers and then come to ‘Ye as an executive producer and be like, “Look at this fresh ass shit we got here.” I think we’ll be getting the best out of him, executive producing projects that come from the label from here on out because he gets to really hone in as a producer. I’ll take care of all the logistics, the rallying of the troops, and so on and so forth. He don’t gotta be producer, A&R, rapper and everything. We’re all here to help and facilitate. I’m definitely stepping up for the job.

Travi$ Scott- "Piss On Your Grave (feat. Kanye West)" (Music Video)

Travi$ Scott has unveiled the music video for his Kanye West-assisted track, "Piss On Your Grave." The visuals for the Rodeo cut feature 'Ye and even a cameo from Yasiin Bey (a.k.a. Mos Def). Check out the release above; the drop definitely coincides well with the Halloween weekend.

Kanye West Released Two New Songs Today

We are all impatiently waiting for Kanye West to release his seventh studio album, SWISH. It seems like we might be getting closer to "Yeezy Season." Kanye released two songs today. The first song is a rework of his 808s & Heartbreak track, "Say You Will." This version features violinist Caroline Shaw adding vocals and strings to the track and takes the original to another level. The other track is called "When I See It" and is Kanye's version of The Weeknd's track, "Tell Your Friends." Kanye helped produced The Weeknd's track so it makes sense that he would have his own version. "When I See It" sees Kanye singing in Autotune over the piano-driven beat. It's probably just a demo, but it's good to see Kanye releasing some music and according to Travi$ Scott's Instagram caption, this may just be the beginning:

It's starts.

Kanye West Has Made Quite A Comeback

It was almost six years ago when Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards, a move that affected his career in a major way. He interrupted Swift after she won the Video of the Year Award, an award 'Ye thought Beyoncé deserved and he made sure Swift and the entire world knew it. Kanye was shunned by Swift supporters and praised by many others; the backlash from his actions seemingly forced him to take a break from the spotlight for almost a year and it is definitely one of the defining moments of his career, for better or worse.

Fast forward six years later and West has released two critically acclaimed albums, a monster collaborative album with Jay Z, a G.O.O.D. Music compilation album, and has another album on the way. And now at this year's MTV VMAs, he will receive the highest honors the event has to offer: the "Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award." This award is a lifetime achievement award honoring an artist's body of work and their effect on the MTV culture. This award is a huge deal and it's an even bigger deal that Kanye has been able to come back from this blemish on his career to shine brighter than he ever has. He hasn't become any less opinionated or any quieter, but he's begun to use his platform to inform and 'keep it real' on more pressing issues that affect him rather than bring down any one individual.

Call it a comeback; Kanye West is this year's recipient of the "Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award" and I hope he does some dope 10 minute performance like many of the recipients have in the past. I'll be watching.

Stream Teyana Taylor's New Mixtape, 'The Cassette Tape 1994'

It's been almost a year since Teyana Taylor dropped her debut album, VII, and it was very impressive. She has now released a mixtape to hold her fans over until her next project. The Cassette Tape 1994 features some production from Kanye West and even a feature from NBA player Iman Shumpert. Check out the project above.

The Weeknd- "Tell Your Friends" (Music Video)

The Weeknd is releasing his sophomore album, Beauty Behind The Madness, on tomorrow and has now released the music video for his Kanye West-produced song, "Tell Your Friends." The video is very dramatic as it features The Weeknd burying a version of himself and killing what seems to be the devil, a character that also appeared in his video for "The Hills" and "Can't Feel My Face." He also features a portion of his song "Real Life" at the end of the video; this album sounds like it'll be a good one. Pre-order it here.

A$AP Rocky- "Jukebox Joints" (Music Video)

A$AP Rocky has revealed the music video for his Kanye West-assisted track, "Jukebox Joints." The visuals have a very old-time vibe and there is indeed a jukebox haha. The A$AP style is still very prevalent in this one as the video switches to a trippy environment. Kanye is not present in the video, nor is his verse, but A$AP did fine on his own. Check out the video above.

The Summer Ends Festival Boasts Some Serious Headliners

This year's Summer Ends Festival in Tempe, Arizona kicks off on September 24th and runs through the weekend until September 27th. The final day of the festival boasts a serious hip-hop lineup as Kanye West, Travi$ Scott, Pusha T, Chance The Rapper and more all have sets that day. The four-day festival has even more dope artists on the lineup so you don't want to miss this. Get your tickets here and check the lineup above.

CyHi The Prynce Is Not Happy At G.O.O.D. Music...

So...CyHi The Prynce has been signed to Kanye's G.O.O.D. Music label for years now and his album has yet to be released. CyHi is not happy about it. He has released a track called "Elephant In The Room" where he fires major shots at Kanye and G.O.O.D. for not caring about his career and helping it progress. Now, I definitely think CyHi has a point. Kanye has not been the best at promoting ALL of his G.O.O.D. artists, BUT, this seems like a poor way for CyHi to address this situation. It'll be interesting to see where things go from here. Check out the track above.

Big Sean- "All Your Fault (feat. Kanye West)" x "I Know (feat. Jhené Aiko)" (Music Videos)

Big Sean decided to treat his fans today by releasing two music videos for songs from his latest album, Dark Sky Paradise. The first video, for "All Your Fault," features Big Sean & Kanye rapping their verses for an energetic crowd in a trip environment. The second video, for "I Know," takes a much more creative approach as it features Sean & Jhené Aiko well into the future. Both videos definitely delivered. Check them out above and enjoy.

Big Sean- "One Man Can Change The World (feat. Kanye West & John Legend)" (Music Video)

Big Sean has revealed the video for his sentiments track, "One Man Can Change The World." Kanye and John Legend don't appear in the video, but Sean delivers exceptional visuals for the song dedicated to his late grandmother. Check it out above and enjoy.
