56th Annual GRAMMY Awards Nominations

Well, the 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards Nominations concert happened yesterday. Leading the nominations this year is Jay Z with 9, followed by Macklemore, Pharrell, Kendrick Lamar, and Justin Timberlake, each with 7. I’ve been watching the GRAMMYs for a bit now, so I’m fully prepared for many surprises and mostly disappointments. Regardless, it was a good year for music and this is bound to be an interesting show. Below I’ve posted the nominees for all the awards that I think are most important/I know the most about, and I’ve bolded who I think will win. I would like to point out: these are my predictions, not my preferences. Also, here’s some insight into the difference between “Song of the Year” and “Record of the Year:” “Song of the Year” is for the songwriters and composers of the song, while “Record of the Year” is more related to the finished product and goes to the singers, engineers, and producers. Enjoy.
